Guidelines

Community Guidelines

MSS works only if members protect the quality of the room: honest, useful, founder-first conversation without spam, harassment, fake expertise or extraction.

Core rules

How to participate.

  • Be useful before being promotional.
  • No spam or aggressive selling.
  • Respect founders at every stage.
  • Share experience honestly.
  • Disclose conflicts of interest.
  • Do not misrepresent investment interest, fundraising ability or credentials.
  • Do not share confidential information without permission.
  • Sponsors do not control community discussion.
  • Vendors must be transparent about commercial intent.
  • Use the right channel.
  • Help keep the room high quality.
  • Report problems early.
Examples

What good contribution looks like.

Useful participation includes practical advice, relevant intros, honest lessons, clear questions, respectful disagreement and transparent offers. Low-quality participation includes scraping members, mass pitching, fake authority, harassment or pretending commercial outreach is community support.

Moderation

Consequences are proportional.

  • Reminder for low-severity issues or channel misuse.
  • Warning where behavior continues or creates friction.
  • Restricted access to certain channels, events or listings.
  • Removal from a channel, event or protected area.
  • Sponsor or vendor review where commercial behavior damages trust.
  • Serious misconduct escalation where safety, fraud, harassment or reputational risk is involved.
Reporting

Raise issues early.

Contact MSS through the website or a moderator if something damages trust. The goal is not bureaucracy; it is protecting the room so founders can speak honestly.
